In Supreme Master Ching Hai International Association News from India…
Intensified by climate change, the heavy rains of the 2024 monsoon season in South Asia have affected both humans and animal-people in countries such as Afghanistan, Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka. Millions were displaced by flooding as rivers overflowed. Over 250 people lost their lives. Farms and residential areas were inundated, causing major losses to livelihood and infrastructure.
Deeply saddened by this sorrowful news, our Most Loving Master wrote: “Dear accountant and CP, Please send (and make sure it is received) US$40,000 to buy what is desperately needed for the most helpless victims. There are more of these sad events nowadays. And most governments and people do not care to change. One person has a small capability. Like M can’t do much, but to cry with sorrow! Hope things will be better really soon for our world. With all my love in God!”
On July 17, 2024, our Indian Association members arrived in Jorhat, Assam, India. There, they met with Jorhat District officials, who provided valuable guidance and assistance in locating and distributing relief materials to those most in need.
With the wonderful arrangements and Blessings of our Beloved Master, our Association members also received support from local Jorhat businesspersons, who offered the best possible prices for necessary relief supplies. Our Association’s relief team requested 2,400 packages, each containing 19 items, including ready-to-eat vegan meals, ready-to-cook vegan ingredients, and mosquito nets. These kindhearted businesspeople also assisted with the packing and delivery of the supplies to selected flood-affected villages in Assam state.
At each location, our Association members distributed the relief materials under a banner featuring the photo of our Beloved Master, with a message stating that the supplies were from Supreme Master Ching Hai (vegan). The flood-affected recipients often showed their respect by extending folded hands in reverence to Master’s photo. Village heads also sent acknowledgment letters to express their thankfulness to Master.
Our hearts overflow with gratitude toward our Most Compassionate Master for Her immense Love and Care, both physical and spiritual, for those impacted by these disasters. We also thank all involved in the relief activities, including government officials, store owners, and helpers, as well as our Association members in India, for their loving care and assistance to the flood affected. May we soon witness a collective awakening as people embrace a vegan lifestyle, bringing peaceful safety to themselves and their communities, in God’s unwavering mercy.
